EDITORIAL POLICY

Show the work.
Date the facts.

These standards apply to homeowner education, product comparisons, and provider profiles across Let’s Talk Homes.

01

Primary sources first

Homebuyer guidance prioritizes government agencies, regulators, and official program administrators. Provider reviews prioritize official product, pricing, help, legal, and support pages. Source links appear near high-value claims or in a clearly labeled source section.

02

Authorship that does not invent credentials

Sandy Francis is the editorial byline used for this site's coverage. No license, certification, employer history, or professional designation is claimed. An editorial illustration is labeled as an illustration rather than presented as documentary photography.

03

Facts and claims stay separate

An official feature or price is reported as a provider fact. Testimonials, projected results, averages, and outcome claims are treated as context, not guarantees. When current pricing is not public, the page says “custom quote” and lists the terms to request.

04

Material updates are dated

Pages show when facts were last checked. High-change details such as pricing, packages, program rules, product names, and contract terms receive priority in future reviews.

05

Corrections replace the error

When a factual discrepancy is identified, the relevant first-party source is checked and the page is updated. A material change receives a new review date. Unverifiable language is removed or labeled instead of being repeated.

06

Education is not personal advice

The site provides general educational information. Financial, legal, tax, lending, inspection, and real estate decisions depend on a reader's circumstances and jurisdiction and should be reviewed with qualified professionals.
